Trying to get my black tow hooks off so I can put my new 06 FX4 LII tow hooks on. Thought it would be easy because the bumper bolts weren't that bad; I thought wrong! Ford put loctite on them I guess because they won't budge!! I'm gonna take a torch to them tomorrow to see if it loosens them up! There is no room to hardly turn a ratchet either on top of that!

I use an 18" long 1/2" drive ratchet. Lots of leverage(lol....hehe). Usually a deep socket or a short extention and the socket does the trick.....ratchet hanging down for the horizontal bolt. Through the headerpanel/bumper gap for the vertical ones. First time I did it, it was with combo wrenches...talk about a pain!! lol.

Thanks Shane, now that I think about it, that seems the best way! Ill have to go to my mamas BFs shop and get his huge breaker bar. Damn things are pissing me off, should receive my new tow hooks soon, they are gonna look BA with my grille
