Grill paint (56k warning)
I got a wild hair up my ass after work and decided to paint my grill. And since I haven't seen this, at least, that I recall, I figured I would post it up. Enjoy!
here is a before shot.
on the ad hoc work bench
Scuffed up with a med grit 3m sandsponge. I love that thing btw.
And masked.
After the second coat of paint on. (Kyrlon Fusion satin black.)
All done!
another angle
Installed close up
Installed front clip view
All in all, it took about 3 hours, and most of it was waiting in between layers. Masking took about 45 min or so. Overall, I am pretty happy with my results. I wish I had a clean room to paint in, instead of using my bathtub, but hey, it was raining and 3am.

Yeah. My plan is to do the valance tonight and let it cure overnight. But I'm gonna have to yank it off and prep it before work. I'll post up pics as I go. And thanks for the compliments!!

An update.
I want to meet the man who decided where the valence bolts go, and punch him. banged the hell out of my knuckles and still cant get the thing off. I may just pull the whole bumper, not sure if I want to go that far just yet.
I noticed the header panel after I put it back on as well, but is an easy enough fix. Had to call it a night though, work and all that.
For all the trouble it is causing me, I will likely just mask off the front end and paint it while the valence is installed. The tow hooks need new paint anyway.
And speaking of tow hooks, I see a few guys running around with receivers on the front of the truck, any idea how much cutting is needed to set that up?
@ edgeman. It was the bathtub or the kitchen floor. And I REALLY dont want to scrub overspray off of hardwood floors. And I would normally have done it in the driveway or on the front/back porch, but rain and paint to not play well together

Looks great! I got a honeycomb grill that has faded out to a light gray color. Thanks for posting this so I have an idea what to do with mine.
