I have a 92 model that I want to paint the grill on. I am thinking black because I plan on putting a black tube bumper with push bar and black rims on the truck eventually. I need some input on what the best method may be. I was thinking plastic primer then plastic paint will do the trick. Do y'all think that it would be pretty durable. I also plan on doing the headlight bezels at the same time, and maybe change the color of the oval to make the chrome letters pop.

Just scuff it up with sandpaper and paint with auto paint. Should do the trick. I plan on taking off my honeycomb grill and going flat black with mine

going to do a write up if there isn't one on removing fender flares, sanding, painting, to fix paint wear from road debris

Krylon fusion works well. Did mine a couple of years ago, and it's still holding up really well. Took it off, thoroughly cleaned it, then painted it.
