never seen one of a ranger but theres one at summit for the older f150, might work, or just buy a gun, we all need one anyways.

I have one lol loaded 357 s n w but in the middle of the night won't do much lol. My tool box was crow bared about a month ago , nothing taken just broke one of the strikers on it. I think the motion light scared them off. But I fixed that by welding two lock hinges on it and have a master lock on each side. And yesterday my other neighbor said someone has been stealing his gas . So I would rather be safe the sorry

Thanks ill look into a cap at the store just kinda rather have a locking fuel door . A channel lock to those caps n they pop right off

yeah, i imagine with a little ingenuity you could prob fab a locking door pretty easily. You can buy a lock mechanism from any lock smith. Then take a hole bit and a little bit of tinkering and you have a locking door. It cant be that hard to do on your own. But seriously, if someone wants to steal your gas, do you think there is any lock or mech you could put on that little door that a crow bar couldnt solve in two seconds. I mean, you can only build a door as strong as its hindges and something tells me the fuel door hinge isnt too strong.

It's all about deterrent though, most thieves are lazy and may not want to mess with a cap, and for 5 bucks, I'd take that chance

Buy a deer/trail camera, and set it up in an inconspicuous place. The damn things are getting rediculously cheap, and I'll bet there are probably more of them being used for catching thieves than hunting deer.

As much as I wish we could, unfortunately, we're not allowed to shoot criminals that are only committing a crime against property.
