explorer me side mirrors question
can explorer power mirrors be used on my truck? it doesnt have power locks, windows. only seats. would it be expensive to upgrade it so i could use power mirrors, locks and windows? or could i just put the power mirrors on and not have them hooked up?

I believe for door locks and all you would have to have a complete wire harness for it to look stock.

no theyre not. trust me lol
expo mirrors will not fit, i tried it and wasted 30 bucks
they may LOOK the same, but the bolt pattern will not match up to the door, and the shroud that goes against the door is way too big for a ranger door

I deleted my previous post based on this info. I had thought people had done it and it was a direct swap, but I guess not.
This is actually not surprising, and sounds like a typical Ford move. Like the 06-current mirrors not being a direct swap for 05-older trucks. Makes no sense....

no, 06 ranger mirrors fit. you just have to enlarge the holes in your door by a little bit

Yeah you can make them fit (I would know ) but it's not a direct swap. Some modification is necessary, but I just think it's ridiculous to have to modify anything to make it work on a truck that's otherwise exactly the same....
