Default Train horn mount

Im planninG on buying some train horns soon i know im goimg to mount the horns where the spare goes but im not sure where i want to or can mount the compresser i cant put it in the bed i dont have a box its an extended cab so i was thinking in front of the rear fenders mounted to the bed under the truck any ideas

Im mounting mine under my custom center console and the tank either in front corner of bed or under front corner of bed w/ it boxed in. Im doin the compressor inside b/c of the cold weather we get here in winter and wanna keep it from freezing and so on.

I have the stock 60/40 bench seat and would like to keep it that way and the compresser should be fine out in the cold my friend has a 350 with a horn and its out in the cold all of the time

Ok ,you could go the way you stated. You may just wanna make a splash shield to keep the debris from tires off the tank/compressor.

Some kind of scrap metal or even plastic like the factory uses back there,its just to keep the debris from being tossed up at it and protect it. Its not like your shooting it Lol

Yeah i know what you mean i could prolly bend up a nice box out of a piece of sheetmetal and screw it into the mounting bracket
