My 98 Red Ranger has lots of rust along the top of the rear exterior trim of the back window, it also leaks a little(not alot but enough to make water stains on the interior ceiling). Anyone know the best way to get rid of it, and to fix the leaking...

check to make sure it's not your 3rd brakelight that's leaking, it's fairly common for them to leak when they get older, and it's easyier to fix than a rear window leak.

as for the rust, sand it down really good (to clean metal if you can), mask off the rear window and most of the truck cab, and rattle can it. i'd do a coat of primer followed by 2+ coats of gloss black.

Here are some pics. I took the brake light off and everything seems to be up to par with that I really believe its the trim thats the problem. Trucks a little dirty, still gotta do the spring cleanin... lol
