Default Badge/Decal Removal

I have a 2010 Sport and I'm thinking of removing the "Ranger" emblem from the back and sides of the truck. I'm pretty sure the "Ford" emblems have alignment pins, but do the "Ranger" emblems have them as well?

Also, do you guys have any advice for removing the red "Sport" decals from sides? I dunno, I just find those kind of tacky.

Thanks!

Unless you plan on doing some body work to your shiny new truck, or you're going to replace them with something else, you're stuck with the badges. I know, it sucks. That was the first thing I was going to do when I got my Ranger.

I agree about the decals. I haven't had decals and stickers and shit on my vehicles since I was a kid. My FX4 has no decals.

If you can peel up just a corner of it (do it however you want, but you can do it with a razor blade if you're extremely careful), keep constant heat on it with a blow dryer, and peel it very slowly.

Default I am curious

If anyone has had any real luck getting the "Sport" decal off the side of the bed I would like to know just how hard a job it is. I don't like mine either but am hesitant to mess up the bed.

thanks

Stop by a body shop. They will be able to remove it with no problem. The cost should be next to nothing.

Cool, I did the debadging on my RSX with the blow dryer and fishing line, but I dunno...the Sport decal seems like it would be much more messy and difficult to take off. To save the headache and frustration I may just take it to a body shop and make it their problem, lol.

Sucks about the alignment pins too. I don't hate those emblems enough to do body work on the car, lol. Thanks man.

3m makes a rubber eraser wheel that fits into an air tool, it takes of the sticker and glue all at once and doesnt screw up your paint.

If they don't charge you more than a couple bucks, that's cool.
But as STL and I both said it is possible to do it yourself if you wanted to try it. The main thing is just to go really slow so it doesn't rip.

WD 40 is a good residue remover also. Doesn't harm the paint.
