I recently purchased a 1994 Ford Ranger single cab short bed...well supposed to be how ever the previous owner was re-doing the truck and said that the bed was shot so they junked it and i just wanna make the truck legal to drive for as cheap as possible...
Yeah I have already tried craigslist and that unfortunitley was a no go... I would go with the flat bed Idea except for the fact that I however am not very mechanically inclined so wouldnt know where to start..

make a flat bed for it.ecology auto is a wrecking yard well known here.ca. , you may have some yards where you live or tow yard with and opportune item. from 89 to 97 should match what your looking for.
pressure treated lumber is best , chanel iron or square tubing makes for good frame.

go to a junkyard they should have one

www.craigslist.com then select your state, city area and then auto parts category. Then type Ford Ranger in the search box. There should be someone around you parting out a Ranger. Also, try the Ranger websites. They have Classifieds sections there. Maybe, somebody has a bed for sale. For the last site you must create a user name and be logged in to view the discussion forums.
