Well, its not illegal for shops to do the work... And here in Virginia Beach, every other car is custom done in some way... we have one of the biggest lifting shops in the Mid-Atlantic States and there are 12 ish car clubs of all sorts with at least 100 cars each... its a big market here but its a state law... Theres only 5 stangs are so in the Ford/ Mustang club im in that still have stock exhaust so shops have nothing to worry about.

i just did a really fast look up on the laws in CA.
Windshield - Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
Front Side Windows - Must allow more than 70% of light in. (one place said 85%)
Back Side Windows - Any darkness can be used.
Rear Window - Any darkness can be used.
so would that mean that the ligal limit for front windows in california be 30%?

No it would be 70%, the 35% tint that I have on my civic lets in 35% (or something like that), yes it is illegal, but I am hoping the 5% on the rear quarters and windshield strip make the contrast seem like it is not so dark. Basically the only legal tint in CA on the front windows would be pointless to put on.

No, the windows don't have to come out.
I don't know much about the process of tinting, but I don't think the pros even need to take the door panel off. I'm not 100% sure on that, though. I'm sure someone else here knows more about it.

This is accurate, door panels do not come off, there is absolutely no disassembly required.

not enough, here in oregon legal tint is 35 all around, right now i am running 20% on the rear slider with no problems, i am gonna do 35% on the front windows when funds permit

just wondering if anyone knows the regulations on window tinting in Michigan? probably more stricter then anyother state.

No front tint whatsoever on front door glass or windshield. On the rear windows you can do whatever you want.
