Or as soon as you see a cop coming your way, you roll down the windows. By me, window tint on a weekend night will get you pulled over for the to find an excuse to check you for drunk driving.

I live in Westland and my window's are black. They don't mess with you unless you are doing something wrong . Just watch out in Plymouth they can be dick's sometime's. And the tint on my car is limo tint front and back.

Almost correct.

You can have a 3" strip on the front door windows.

I have heard that you can have 4" on the top of the front but a cop I know says that you can have none whatsoever. I figured I would say that because who actually puts 3-4" on anyways besides ricers?

According to this, you can have 4". And I agree, having a strip across the top is pretty lame.

That I have never seen...would be kind of weird to have a strip going across the side windows...seems like getting the ventshades would do the exact same thing, but you would get more out of them.

Right. The only thing that accomplishes is making the vehicle look goofy.

In ky its 35% front, 25% rear... i have 5% all around on the ranger with a windshield strip and 10% all around on my lincoln.... At night even 10% is diffuclt to backup in dark areas... With both of my vehicles I sometimes have to roll down the windows to see when backing up at night... If you've never had tint - its great in daytime, but night is tricky til you get used to it....

for cleaning, i use a non-alcohol based window cleaner i get from a seller on ebay... its in an areosol can spray - same stuff the tint shop uses...

BS flag...... goin up on that one. I don't believe you "could hardly see through" 35%. I had 13% done all the way around on my previous car and i still would maybe say i hardly see through...

Read my entire post that you quoted, then put your BS flag away.

I must be bored, so I'll play along and clarify it for you....

When it's bright and sunny, 35% hardly seems like much. Considering your comment, I'm sure you'd agree with that.

The less direct sun there is, the more reflective the tint is, hence my "overcast/cloudy" comment stating that during those lighting conditions the tint appears darker.

When I say "there are times" when it's hard to see in, I mean exactly that. "There are times" doesn't mean frequently, often, occasionally, etc.
When there's a rain or snow storm when the sky is dark, or in the evening when the sun is low, yes it's hard to see in. It's only under certain circumstances. The amount of light in the sky has a more dramatic effect on 35% tint than your dark-all-the-time 13% tint.
