SO I tried this yesterday and got them apart but when I took the tape off the chrome reflectors the chrome paint came off with it so mine was an epic fail!

what kind of tape were u using? i used regular blue painters masking tape and i noticed that a little bit of the chrome paint center but you could barely notice it.

It was just regular masking tape the light brown tape that's on the how to. The one turned out so bad I didn't even attempt to paint the other one. NExt day off I might try again and repaint the chrome .

I recently switched from smoked heads with HID's, to these modded heads and I am very pleased. It looks great and nothing peeled off at all. Just be sure that you take your time and cut tape so it looks nice. When people find out its a mod they look for errors.

to help tape with over adhesion, dab each piece on your bluejeans, tape will pick up fabric fibers, and not be so aggressive on adhering to the delicate plastic chroming
