Default Removing Grille

I'm taking off my grille on my 99' to paint it. I took out the 4 bolts on top, and the top of it will rock forward. Something is holding it in at the bottom. I don't see anymore screws though. Anyone know what else needs to come off?

Yeah, on my '02 there were six clips. You can see where they go in this pic - two under each headlight, and two in the middle:

Just take a flat head screwdriver, and gently push down on them and pull to pop them out. They also go back in very easy. Be careful, because you can scratch them really easy as well.

IDK if you've already done this...but with my thread digging tonight, i'll offer up some advice.

Just as everyone else mentioned, there's little clips on the bottom. On your 98-00 or a 04+, there's just two. on the 01-03, there's 6. It's in a location where you can't really get a screwdriver in, you just gotta pull on the bottom of the grille. Gentfully forcefull I call it. If the metal clips stay in the header panel and not on the grille, no biggie, it happens to everyone. Just unclip 'em from the header panel and push 'em back onto the grille.

Good luck and keep on moddin!
