Question Grill on 96

I am going for the painted look on my grill. Black. Somewhere I seen someone fab some gutter screen from Home Depot as a insert.Has any done this?SD530385.jpg

Here's my truck, it is exactly what you have described. I also painted the chrome part to go with the rest of the look.

None of those are mine

I saw where they drill tiny holes into the back of the factory grille then use zip ties to fasten it

I used hot glue and bent the inserts around from the backside.
