wood bumper
Was wondering what yall think about having a 4x8 for a bumper? I think it would work maybe even better then the stock one? Mines all dented from hitting trees and what not, and i dont have $ to go buy anything really, my dads F100 has had one for years. And yes i know to use grade 8 bolts and all.

Re: wood bumper
Would be fine till you have a collision. Stock bumper has a padding to absorb impact.

Re: wood bumper
find one off of an explorer, ranger, mountianeer... there common in junkyards and can be had for $20 if you search around a bit... a 4x8 is not a bumper, it's a beam.

Sounds like a steering problem.
How about an old railroad tie?
