Re: Tow Hooks On A 2wd Possible?
So the factory tow hooks, what are they meant for, would you use them to pull some one out or to be pulled out from being stuck? Mostly mean could they be actually be used for that.
(and my 01 2wd edge came with them on it) I have never thought of them being used till i seen this thread.

tow trucks would never use tow hooks to strap them down to the trailer/truck.

Re: Tow Hooks On A 2wd Possible?
From those pics it doesn't look like you'd be able to use those hooks without damage to the front grill possibly happening. Look a little to recessed . Or would these be used in a last ditch rescue like lifting you out of a canyon.

they work fine and don't infer with the valance, if you do get in a situation where you are cross pulling some times the license plate gets in the way but it is easy to either flip or make a removable one.

Must be the misleading from the photo. Maybe I'll add some to my 07 if i got holes up front there already. Don't plan on going mudding but don't hurt to have em anyway.
