Default Hanging Front Bumper

Hey Everyone

A few weeks back I was driving down the road, and for some strange reason I bumped into the guy in front of me. His huge F250 didn't have any damage, but his tow-hitch ball put a dent in my bumper, and now it's hanging down pretty bad.

I know that the bumper is attached to the body with brackets. I found the brackets for about 10$ each. Judging by the pics, are the brackets and a little bit of work all I need? I'd really like to fix this myself. Can anyone help me out here?

For one, the bumper mounts to the frame, not hte body. lol.

Yeah, I think all you need to straighten it out is new bumper bracketry because well, yours is bent right now.

Remove the 4 nuts that secure the bumper to the frame horns and pull the bumper off. Replace those main bumper brackets, and youre done.

Frame, yeah thats it. lol. Alright then, this sounds good. Thanks alot for the help. Whenever I have the bumper off, would it be possible to get a mallet and bang out that dent?

I don't see why not. It's sorta concave on the backside, so it might have to be one of those 2x4 and a hammer sorta deals.

before u buy anything, loosen the bolts that hold that corner of the bumper up. then u can use a jack to get the bumper where u think it should be and tighten the bolt back up real tight. if its not all that bent this should work.

u can also try to bend the bracket back into place.
just my broke .02
