Default Roof Racks...

ok guys, i got a 1995 ford ranger single cab short box, and i love the look of the roof racks people have on their extended cab Rangers, i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get one for the single cab, or if anyone has a roof rack on their single cab so i can see how it looks? just need some pics and info, some welding aint a big deal if they dont make them for sinle cabs

if you don't mind some fab work, a roof rack off of an explorer could probibly be made to fit for cheap... unless your talking about the roof baskets. those, i've got no idea about, lol

All you really need is a couple of Yakima (might be Thule, can't remember) Q towers, a couple of bars, and the basket. It would look silly on a single cab, IMO, but it's your truck!

roof baskets are generally installed on lifted 4x4 trucks with oversized tires. Not 2wd trucks with street tires. But, as Jimmeh said "it's your truck"

i understand that and ur kinda wrong about the tires. i just picked up stock sized (LT235/75R15) Super King Radials which are some knock off mudder. ordering my leveling kit this week, as well as a few parts under the hood. i didnt really want to lift and mileage suffer, so i think a 3" leveling kit will raise the front end to where i want it and still give me a little bulldog

The baskets are ugly anyways. You want to talk about gas milage suffering, Those things give you drag. Expo racks are way nicer IMO. And They look good on single cabs.

It might work, try getting a single rack from Thule or Yakima with the gutterless quick clamps. And have a quick disconnect on the wiring so you install and uninstall the lights at will.

I don't think a roof rack will look right on a regular cab truck for everyday driving but the above will fit the function you are looking for when you do need it.
