HID problem..
Already. I've had these things for a day. Lol. Nothing major, i got them working fine, but two things are wrong.
I got everything wired up to the best of my abilities with the instructions DDM has on their site:
1) Driver's side: low beam, just fine, but no high beam when turned on. Passenger's side: low beam only when high beams are turned on (once again, NO high beam on driver's side), so last night i just drove around with the switch flipped to high and it worked fine.
This morning i unplugged the high beam plug on the passenger side and now both low beams are on in the normal position, so i'm fine for the moment.
2) Both bulbs in the sockets seem a little loose no matter how i mess with them. They've stayed in just fine, i'm just wondering if there's anything i need to do to make them better.
Any help will be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks!

Re: HID problem..
To make them better would be to do a retrofit with proper HID bi-xenon projectors. But the cost is between 250 and 400 depending on what you get and it will yield much better results. It does however require a little work on your part

Re: HID problem..
Yeah dude, i don't have that much money. Haha. I'd love to do a retrofit someday though.

Modifying your headlights to fit projector lenses like bmw, audi, etc have. Theretrofitsource.com makes kits that are super easy to install.

What HIDs did you get? When you say you have no High Beam, some kits (most ebay kits) are LOW BEAM ONLY. The ones I had were. If I flipped my High Beams on, I had nothing. To get Low/High, you have to get a bi-xenon kit with high/low capabilities.
As for the loose bulbs, try taking off your o-ring off of your original bulb and replacing the aftermarket one. that might make the fit tighter

Thanks for the link! How hard are they to install exactly what all needs to be done?

Re: HID problem..
if you ordered a hi/low kit and theyre not working, its cause the pins for the plug in to the trucks headlight connector are in the wrong spots. same with mine when i got them. its just a generic problem. anyway, trace the hi beam wire and put the pin in the right spot, same for ground and low beam wire.

I got a DDM 35W 5000K hi/lo kit. It has the connector for the highs, and i won't even lie, i RARELY use the them anyway, but it'd still be nice to have. Lol. As for the looseness, i took it back off again and messed with it a little and its been good for over a week, so i guess i'll just keep my eye on it..

Alright, i'll give it a try tomorrow before i start doing all the normal Christmas-family stuff. Lol. Hopefully i can figure it out.
