I've been looking at getting wheel spacers for my 2001 reg. cab stock everything ranger (2wd) and wanted some help. I've been looking at the ones that are 2". I heard that if i get these ill have to cut off the extra length of the bolts that the wheels would normally attach to (The original stock bolts), or the wheel will hit them on the other side of the spacers where the wheels would attach to the spacers. That is to involved and to permanent for me. I looked at getting the spacers that just go in between. The ones that slide on to the regular bolts before you put the wheel on and I heard that these are not as safe because it puts the wheels farther out on the bolts?
So any thoughts? Pretty much I just want my truck to sit wider than it is now and all i can find on how to do that is spacers because everything else is really involved or expensive.
So if i get the 2" ones will i have to cut anything do you think?
Are the other kind of spacers safe or even worth getting? will i see much of a difference after putting them on because of how thin they are or no?
Bottom line what is a cheap and safe way to make my truck sit wider that it is now?
Thank You!
