99-03 F-250 Super Duty and 99-03 F-350. I have yet to verify the Mazda B series trucks, but believe they are the same assembly.

Re: MY leaking third brake light repair method
I wanted to update this thread. As of today I have sold out of my fist batch of gaskets. I have an order in for 500 pcs that should be here by June 4th. I will have them back up on Ebay and available here as soon as I get them in my garage.

Re: MY leaking third brake light repair method
I just bought one of your gaskets off eBay. We are getting heavy rain here in southern Iowa and all around the 3rd brake light inside the cab is drenched! To the point that it is getting the backside of my passenger seat wet, as well as running down the back, along the passenger door and the passenger floor mat are wet. I hope this will clear things up. Now, do you market something to get the musty smell out??? lol I can't roll the windows down until it stops raining. What a mess!

First, glad you purchased a gasket, it will fix your leak issue! When my truck leaked I pulled it in the garage and removed the seats and carpet to dry them thouroghly. Yea, I'm "that guy", a little over the top.
If you have the rubber mats you really should pull them when it stops pouring to dry under them. The backing will hold water and not only smell but start rusting your floor pans out.
Next best thing would be Dri-Z-Air, or a similar product. Close the truck up for a weekend with a good drying agent and you'll clear a lot of the moisture that you cant even see out. Just don't spill the "water" once absorbed by the product. It is calcium chloride, salt, and of course very caustic to metal.
Thanks, stay dry!

Re: MY leaking third brake light repair method
Thank you for the tips. I took the floor mat out and behind the seat, along the passenger door, and the back of the passenger seat are all pretty much dry. The only dampness to speak of is the carpet on the passenger side. My wife suggested using a drying agent also, so I guess its unanimous!

Re: MY leaking third brake light repair method
I wanted to thank FRF for this forum. My little gasket project has sold a couple hundred units and so far a 100% success rate, (did have a couple of owner installation errors). I have had several people mention they saw the post on this forum.

Hey Keith thanks for your interest in the gasket. If your changing bulbs it is a good time to replace the housing gasket. It seems that these almost always end up leaking, thus the production of our gasket. If you have ordered, or do order a gasket let us know how it worked for you.

Re: MY leaking third brake light repair method
Update: I now have over a thousand of these seals in the market!!! We updated the material to a little higher grade of neoprene and have added an adhesive backing for easier installation. I now have the best aftermarket High Mount third brake light seal on the market. Okay, I have the ONLY seal on the market!!!
The seal has been ninety nine percent effective so far but on average about one in a hundred installations have had trouble sealing the housing. I think these could be warped housings or trying to seal an aftermarket housing. Even more likely is a poor installation as I have been able to troubleshoot a couple of these and found that the instructions simply were not followed. Before you glue your housing to your truck check these out in the for sale section here or go to Ebay.
Thanks to Ford Ranger Forums! Happy Trucking!!!

Re: MY leaking third brake light repair method
I have a few questions for y'all. I am in the process of buying a 2002 ranger he said there is a leak in the third brake light so I want to get that fixed but also he sprayed flex seal all around the brake light and down the sides of the back window. I guess in an attempt to seal it. Will I be able to sand that off? When I pay it off and get the truck I will post pics to see what y'all have to say about it.

Don't you love half ass fixes...lol Looking forward to seeing what this looks like. The image in my head on what you just described makes me think it's sprayed everywhere.
I've used different types of flexseal. The one brand or off brand(can't remember) was able to be pealed off using one of those credit card scrapers (plastlic). While another brand was a nightmare to get off. I believe some type of paint thinner/dissolver was used to break the flex seal compound down and then it was wiped/washed off but was still super messy to completely clean up.
My 2nd time around I went with a buggman led third brake light and then used RTV silicone. Since his stuff is excellent and I don't forsee it failing I know that I have a good seal and won't have to remove it to change bulbs or anything...etc.

Re: MY leaking third brake light repair method
Does anyone know if Mook is still selling these gaskets on eBay or elsewhere? I see a bunch on eBay from the same seller but not sure if that seller and Mook are one in the same. Thanx. Would like to support a forum member.
