Default Painted XLT bumper part number?

I have asked a friend but he is on the wrong end of the food chain, he may come through but it'll be after trickling down the line. Can someone tell me the part number for the painted XLT style bumper cover/valence?
It is the one with the round foglights. MTIA

what exactly are you after? What you've listed is a little conflicting.

You looking for a 01-05 Edge(paintable) upper metal bumper? One that works with the 01-03 round foglamp valence? What year you looking for? 06+ are bumper covers...98-05 are not.

I don't have any part numbers, but you can get high quality aftermarket repops from lmctruck.com or certifit.com for a reasonable price.

SHERMAN Part # 576B224

If you are talking about kinda what my 03 Edge has then this is the part number. The part above is about $71 on rockauto.com under 2003 Ford Ranger Edge/ Body Exterior/ Valance Panel. Or there is:

VARIOUS MFR Part # FO1095189

That one is not primer black like the above one but you can get it new for $45 or so. This is what these two parts look like:

Rockauto.com has a ton of OEM parts for all vehicles for great prices.

That be what I am looking for. I spoke directly to the parts guy at the dealer and he swore that the only paintable valance was for the edge and it had the square fogs and you had to buy the entire asembly fogs, brackets and valance for somewhere close to $400. I talked with a friend and he passed it down the line, but it just goes back to a bunch of stiffs sitting on vertical rods starring at parts schematics. It is the reason FRF is great. I will be gettin the RAuto valance I want to get rid of the Plastic bumper.

Wannabe, Sorry I confused you. I am not looking for the bumper trim, that's why I put "/valance" on thier as these have a cover/valence and a trim. A valance is actually a lower diffuser, not a bumper cover, but it is also not a fascia as it is multiple pieces, bumper covers originally spoke of special trim pieces that actually just covered the bumper for special models. Fascia is a one piece panel, like that of the porsche 944EU models, the US models had a bumper cover, and a valance. I appreciate the try and if I was rice'n it then I would go with an aftermarket piece.

Many Thanks Guys!

Thread title: Painted XLT bumper

Thread post: valence/bumper cover

See the reason for the confusion?

98-05 rangers have a metal upper bumper(what takes the impact) and a plastic valence that bolts to it(01-03 round or 04-05 square fogs). 06+ rangers have a inner metal frame that takes the impact then a bumper cover is what you actually see and that's painted, then a valence snaps into the metal frame(08+ round or 06-07 square fogs are found on those too...).

How is a metal bumper that is the primary bumper considered trim? If anything....the valence would be considered bumper trim... What is considered 'trim' on these 98-05 ranger bumpers??

So yeah...you're after a 01-03 Edge(paintable) valence. Sorry I can't provide a FoMoCo part number. Update that sig to include a year or something of your rig.

No I don't. It is concerning the bumper, just like my lower ex., transmision does not mean the case is bad it can be multiple issues. . .

(78-09) all have metal bumpers, it just that certain years have a bumper cover. . .

I hope you arte kidding you are putting words and thoughts into my post. It's actually kind of scary
and it's kind of weird you know of someone who painted the metal impact beam. . . They are special.
I have a chrome trim on the top half of my bumper. . .

Good info Thanks, parts guy said that all Edge trucks had square fogs. He is apparently a Dipcrap.

I wonder what the 02' in my screen name means (Jeopardy theme playing. . . .)

I think you are still confused, just me though. Ha Ha!

It's odd, that I have not seen one Edge badged truck with round fogs, so I assumed by the parts guy saying that Edge models had painted bumpers and square fogs that it was so, but my eyes are contradicting my mind.

Thanks for the help.

P.S. Love your Avatar Pic!

Yea this is confusing. No such thing as a painted XLT bumper. Bumper cover did not come on the Ranger till 06. Valance and bumper covers are 2 different things.

01-03 had round holes for any valance on any trim with fog lights, 04-05 had square fogs. 06+ changed from square to round sometime, with the new front fascia but do not recall what years they changed back to round.

Also, the Ranger didn't start till 83 unless you are referring to the Ranger package that came on F150s and such.

And what is a metal impact beam??? You mean a bumper??

Ditto.

I don't know how you can consider the ACTUAL BUMPER being 'trim'. Trim would be something added to something....like a fender flare or one of those plastic 'bumper pads' found on '98 and older ranger front bumpers.

Impact beam? Ok...bumper(or to you, the chrome 'trim') gets hit, sends forces to the frame horns which collapse on impact. Also called a 'crumple zone' if you will. Or are you talking of the dinky crossmember between the frame rails right behind the bumper(er, 'trim) which are LACKING on coil spring models?

I know we're argueing terminologys, but shit just don't make sense at all.

And yea...you cought be being a noob. Didn't even consider your screenname having the vehicle year. You can have that point. Thank you for the compliment on the avatar. I'll take it even though the possibility of sarcasm is there....thats hard to tell through typed out words don't cha know. lol.

I'm gonna cry, you're killing me man. . .
Dude I sincerely doubt the chrome trim on the top of my bumper cover is the bumper. . . . . I mean c'mon you can't be serious. See the little yellow part on the top of oldies bumper assembly, that is the trim not the bumper and the piece it is mounted to is the bumper cover/valance. Niether of those is the bumper/impact beam. . . . .

Oh no sarcasm on the Avi. It's a sharp pic.

P.S. truck bumpers aren't made of plastic. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . c'mon

Thanks Again for the info OldFord. I'm not trying to hang him for it just stone him a little while. Ha Ha

holy fuck. do I need to unbolt the bumper off my truck and take pics of it to prove to you it's simply that upper metal piece, then the valence that bolts to it?

Thank you for informing me what my truck's assembly is....I've only had it apart upteenth fucking times.

Here...you may enjoy these....

The ananomy of an 01-05 ranger front bumper....metal bumper with bumper brackets + valence which bolts to the bumper. Yes, i'm still calling it a bumper as it's metal and it's in the area in which a bumper would be...

Here would be bumperless. Disregard the hitch. All that's seen would be the frame horns in which the bumper bolts to, as well as the dinky front crossmember for tow hook mounting. Behind the bumper frame horns would be the crumple zone on the frame.

Valenceless

Here's another '01...and as you can see, it's lacking the dinky front crossmember for the towhooks, so with it lacking, it's a safe assumption that that's not used for impact...

Using your analogy, a rear bumper simply isn't a rear bumper.....the spare holder is the bumper. because that metal you see and step on is simply cosmetic as it's just trim. Keep stoning...stone away. You're wrong.
