Hey guys
I'm looking to make my truck look more sportier
my hood now is the curved one with the "gap" in the middle
I am looking for a thunderbolt hood (if it will just bolt on) or i am looking for a hood scoop. I am going to make the hood scoop functional by cutting a while in my hood and riveting it in there.
I also am not worried about the color because i am having it painted after winter.

I would go get a flat stock hood from a junked ranger, find a good looking scoop for it, and use fiberglass to make the scoop look like it was made into it. I would just keep the other hood around or sell it cuz lots of people want those it seems like. Thats the one my Edge came with.

They have everything to make a truck like a thunderbolt minus the emblems and the actual exhaust thy came with.

I was able to score the thunderbolt exhaust 3 years ago when they were liquidating stuff for under 100 dollars shipped. I currently have it on my truck now

If I didn't have to have the hitch I would get the dual embossed roll pan for the exhaust

The exhaust is a magnaflow exhaust with a nice deep sound.

If you keep your existing 'powerdome' hood, your good looking option for a scoop would be getting a 99-04 Mustang GT scoop. Drill your hood for the mounting screws, and trim up the 'grille' to fit the cutdown in the middle of the hood. Best solution if you want to use your existing hood. The 'grille' on those 99-04 GT scoops are plenty tall enough that you can trim them to fit perfectly in that groove.

If you put a SLP/Roush Thunderbolt scoop on that hood, there'll be a gap between the grille and the recessed center of your hood.

The hood on Thunderbolts are the same hood as what's found on 98-00 rangers and 01-03 XLT and XL 2wd models. And yes, it'll bolt onto your truck. Though, you will have a bigger gap between the honeycomb grille and your new hood. The scoop is added on.
