Default rear panel help needed...

hey ppl... so when i was leaving a coffee shop with some friends...i got in my truck and started to back out of the parking spot..realized a car was comming...so i stopped and let the car pass...so then i continued to back out when that car started backing up and hit my rear right panel..between my tire and taillight..it left a big dent(i'll post pic tomorrow) and i was wondering if it would be best to just replace that panel... or just buy a whole new bed..

TRUST ME... i wanna get insurance to fix it..but my dad insist on us just fixing it ourselves..and as much is i would like the fact i did it..i'd rather get some one who knows how to fix this perfect..and insurance would find that person for me..

the odd thing is the inside of the bed..isn't even dented..its just the "panel" which is what i was confused about of how i was to fix it...thats why i was wondering if i should just buy a new bed..since its all attached..

Shouldn't the person that hit you pay for it or their insurance?

Ouch...I carry uninsured/under-insured on my plan too...cause my dad's truck growing up got totaled by a uninsured driver...State Farm took them to court and about 2 years later he got is deductible back. He was happy he had it and it was funny cause he talked about removing it now too much before the wreck...

Uninsured motorist added to a policy cost me only $25 more a year!
Check your plan to be sure that you do/ don't have it.

Your truck has duel panels . Most likely , only the outer panel was damaged.
You might have to drill and us a dent pop out tool to fix.
Not too difficult,though

yeah i think that's what were going to do..then just bondo what we can't fix then use some touch up paint...its going to be hard to match that specific color but i planned on repainting my truck anyways so its good lol..
