I wonder if running that 15yr old rubber had anything to do with it wrecking?

and as for insurance im ganna try and keep it off the insurance if pssible just get the new parts if possible or just part it out and salvage what i can

If you were only really going 20mph, then why don't you report it to the insurance? Its going to cost more to fix it than the truck is worth unless you can do all the labor yourself.

Won't the insurance company want to know why the police weren't called for an accident investigation/report? Rolling a vehicle isn't like dinging a shopping cart. Sorry for your loss, that was a nice truck.

Would the insurance company consider it totaled if it runs fine? It would be a shame to see it get scrapped because of body damage. A TON of body damage, yes, but still just body damage.

Dude just rolled his truck - I don't see why everybody is giving him a hard time.
Maybe I missed something...

Default Labor

I can do most of it by myself but pulling some dents and installing windows I can't do.

I'm talking to my dad about what I should do with insurance

As for a salvage title I don't care at all if I can sell it and claim it and buy it back with a little extra to help me fix it I'll be happy

Just sucks big time being my first truck I own personally

Uhhh......I was rear ended a few years ago. Bumper got hit, tagged the bedside. Was quoted at almost $3000 for bumper, brackets, and bedside replacement(with paint and blend). I'm what you would call a junkyard crawler. I've seen Rangers with JUST cosmetic damage at yards. Rear endings(did the job or got plowed), side plow into the bed, things of this nature. All are 01+ trucks. Like I said earlier, I've seen trucks with FAR LESS damage than that the OP's at junkyards. Perfect cabs, straight frames, sitting getting parted out. Hell....If the mechanicals are fine, that doesn't matter. Where do you think I got my 1,000 mile used engine from? A wrecked truck. The only real reason trucks get put into yards is because of cosmetic and structural damage and the cost to repair that damage surpasses that magic number of like 75% of vehicle value or whatever.

This whole thing has a fat layer of stink written all over it. Rolled the truck in a single vehicle accident at only 20mph. For us to fully understand it, I feel there's details being held back. No officers were called to the scene. I doubt there'll be an Incident Report handed into the Dept Motor Vehicles. No claim on Insurance. Wants to fix it with no claim and no insurance involvement. It'll have a clean title yet will have every body panel replaced and it looks like a complete cab-swap is what has to happen. It's one thing if the vehicle was a '92 or '95. Whole nother level with it being an 07.

A police response to a motor vehicle accident is not required when you are one private property or otherwise not on a public road or parking lot. When you are the only vehicle involved, nobody is hurt, and nothing is damaged other than your own personal property, it is not a police matter. So the lack of a police report is not an issue here.

For all the reasons detailed above, it may be wise to keep this off insurance as well. If they find out about this, they will raise your rates through the roof. They might even drop you all together. So whatever money you get from the insurance company will be totally offset by the massive insurance rates you will have to pay for the next 10 years.

Your truck is trashed. You killed it. Every component of every body part is destroyed. It was your own doing and hopefully a good lesson for you in safe operation of a vehicle from now on. We all do dumb things and hopefully learn from it. Its your turn I guess.

Part it out or sell the whole thing as a parts truck. Save the good components you can out of it that you want to keep for your next vehicle. Take whatever money you can get for it and buy a new/used truck. Then remember what you learned from this when driving the new one.

I know it's not required to have the police involved when it's only one person and their own personal property.
As for insurance I want to keep it off because of rates but insurance is there to help us
And for parting it out I'm down for that so if anyone wants any parts let me know and make me an offer
