Re: Hood Scoop, Yes, No?
NO. your truck is nowhere near the category of a vehicle worthy of a hood scoop.
and to not be a jerk, neither is mine or most Ranger trucks.
Just my opinion.

If its a non functional stick on then no they look ugly in my opinion you should get a cowl hood instead those look sick

no problem man, i had one on my blazer and put some hood pins on it, gave it a real unique look. one thing i could say that its works functionally would be its lighter (if fiberglass), and my engine temp dropped a little bit, id go for it man! whatever your style is. (im gettin one :P). if you did get a cowl hood, try to look at the 2" ones and the 4" ones, anything bigger kinda looks a little over the top, plus less visibility lol

X2! never been big on the stick on lund scoops, but a cowl induction hood looks good on almost anything.

Re: Hood Scoop, Yes, No?
Since you are talking about a functional scoop, I'm all for it. I hate those fake stick on ones.

Re: Hood Scoop, Yes, No?
I have had the same thoughts about a scoop for awhile now, too. Not so much a scoop that makes you look like you have a giant supercharger/blower on top of the engine.
Now, my issue is the "trench" in the middle of the hood. Obviously, it wouldn't go there, that wouldn't look right. Spazz, I don't think you have that on your hood. Even if I put it there, it would be useless considering the intake is front passenger side. A small scoop in the front left (looking at the grill) portion of the hood would look weird. I have thought about 5 or 6 vent slats cut into the hood itself. Angled toward the back of the truck might look better. That would take a metal fabricator and would be a little more difficult and cost more jack. I would also have to modify the intake to pull from that area as well as the where it's pulling from now.
If it's functional, Spazz, do it. Why the hell not?
Any fabricators in So Cal on the site? Anyone? Bueller?
