The problems include-

Paint doesnt match too well, but acceptable
Have to re do every 12 months
Valence paint is chipped and faded (i dont paint that every 12 months)
surface rust just keeps coming back...

So im stuck on what to do. A proper stay in the paint booth for just a spray of the metal bumper will run me 400$+. Just the bumper. This would provided bullet proof paint, but is expensive.
My next option is to just re do it again and again for about 50 bucks each summer.
Finally i could go on ebay and buy a chrome metal part bumper, and just swap it for around 100 bucks.

What have you guys done? has annyone else had this problem?

Thanks in advance...
what metal portion are you talking about inparticularly? The top section of the bumper valance?

You could try and pre-spray with this bulldog adhesive promoter stuff I used on my valance. It helps paint stick to rounded edges and plastic. Its worked great for me.

Okay so based on what ive gathered, i would do black bumper, valence, lower doors, flares, and rear bumper.....basically im almost at the point where i have enough corrosion repair to be done that i could do all those things. With style and how it would look aside, im torn between two products. 1. Spray on Bedliner 2. Spray on rubberized undercoating. Input?

Undercoating is not to be painted an looks like CHIT!

Depending how handy you are, I would buy some ALs DIY bedliner , tint it and spray it yourself. A gallon of ALs is about 100 and the gun to shoot it is 49 and enough tint to do a gallon is between 50-100. SO you could do it yourself for about 300
