Default Fuel tank

I recently bought a '04 Ranger, Edge with a 3.0. I changed the fuel filter and it look like mud coming out of it, once I had it removed. Since then, it seems to run rough after it gets below a half a tank. I am thinking there is something in there that is not good. I want to clean the tank and change the filter inside if there is one. What is the best way to get to the tank to remove it.

substantial, Is there a better fuel pump out there if it needs replacing?

Default Re: Fuel tank

Before you go dropping the tank try seafoaming it. It may clean it up and its cheaper that swapping pumps.
