ya get some VHT niteshade and take the tails off and spray them... that is how i did mine

that is just one coat on there but i went pretty thick just very evenly on the can it says it is unsafe to do more than 3 coats.... light still shines through perfectly on mine

here is a pic with my lights on...(very bright still, thats not even brake lights)

----------

Here is the paint you need

I did my 2006 Charger's taillights with VHT Nighthade paint a few years ago.

One thing that I'll add to what everyone else said is for a long lasting and neat job you should first spray lightly with some clear plastic primer. Then sand that with some very fine wet and dry sandpaper. Then spray the Nightshades paint very lightly and sand smooth between coats. Do not spray the paint on too heavy, better several light coats then one heavy dripping coat. When done spray it lightly with clearcoat to protect the tintpaint. Then go over the lights with some good polish and then wax to make them shine real nice. I also masked off my backup lights for a more stock look.

Just remember that VHT Nightshades is a paint and your basically just painting the plastic taillights so you'll need to wax and shine as a final step. Wet and dry sandpaper is the best tool to make it come out perfect.

Now that I'm thinking about it I'm going to do my Rangers tails, let the mods begin...
