Default Spare tire relocation, opinions...

hey guys, so im putting a roll bar on soon and im thinking of maybe relocating my spare tire to a mount between the two kickers of the roll bar, how do you think that would look(i would buy a new beefy tire)?

i like the idea. i wouldnt mind doing the same thing. cause the 29inch stock spare not workn id like 32. but i have a tool box in mine that i use all the time. are you building a roll bar or going to Fab mounts to one you buy

I personally wouldn't do it for 2 reasons. First off is losing the bed space. Second is that I would be afraid of the tire cracking from constantly being exposed to the sun. But, it does look bad ass, and its your truck.

thats a good point but don't all tires face the sun constantly and i don't think that much bed space would b taken, i just need enough room to carry my guns and deer ha

and i bought one and id fab some mounting points or something

Your tires which are mounted see less sun, and they're in use. This keeps them pliable. If anything, get a cover for the tire.

look at my build thread, youll see a couple pics of how i put my spare in the bed, i also have a roll bar, like the one you have pictured.
