Default Bed Light

Ok before you jump me were I live there aren't a whole lot of Rangers around here because "Small Trucks are for pussys". We'll my gas is 50 bucks a fill your's is 100 so yea but anyway. Do some rangers come with a bed light or do you have to install one or what? If so would it be hard and time consuming or pretty easy. When I pulled my 3rd brake light out it had holes on each side like for a bed light or something but I just don't know. Thanks in advance!

Yes the 3rd brake light on earlier models had cargo lights. You can get an older 3rd brake light with the white cargo lights and wire them up to the dome light.

True about the above, and then can get some cold cathodes or tube style light and mount under the bed rails for lighting the bed.

I've got RECONs LED bed rail light set and LED third brake light with cargo lights, my bed is as bright as the sun at night.

That is what I wanted at first, but could not find a deal on any. That party rope light stuff...not sure of the legit name of it though...

my '00 has a cargo light that turns on with the interior light switch. you could probibly grab the lens and wiring bits out of an earlyer truck and work one in fairly simply. although the lid to my toolbox blocks it out compleatly....
