Wash it, Dry it, Claybar it, then use a rubbing compound + polishing compound... or use meguiars ultimate compound, then wax it. The claybar and compound will remove oxidation and gunk from your paint.. including the rusty water trickle that I'm guessing you have. Plus you're truck will shine like new.

While we are on the subject of getting rid of water stains, I have water spots on my glass. Whats the best way to get rid of it?

I think with the Rangers, you just push the end of the turn signal lever in the cab to run the washer fluid spitters......

I could be wrong since I haven't driven a Ranger in a while, though.

A good method Ive used to remove spots and things from the wind shield is to sprinkle scowering powder (AJAX bathroom cleaner) on the glass and use a sharp razor blade and water and gently AT almost a flat angle, sqweegee the glass with the blade. it takes time for the whole windshield, but ive always gotten good results

Use Meguiairs ultimate compound with an orbital buffer. That should take the stains off the paint and most water spots

I use the polish I use on the paint for the windows. Don't even need my wipers after I do that
