LED 3rd brake light question

Hey guys I just installed an LED 3rd brake light and it looks like it has the capability of back up lights but I am not sure how I would hook them up or make them work. My old 3rd was red all the way across and only had one connection to the light. Does the how to - 3rd brake light blinker mod cover anything like this, or would it work on my led 3rd? Thanks in advance guys.

you could run extra wires up there to your aftermarket brake light from your reverse bulbs

Today I figured out that the white lights on it are connected to the dome light. Don't know how it will help me or hurt me but It is good to know lol

Yep. They are all wired for the cargo lights. For some reason, ford thinks we're not all worthy of it.

Now I just have to figure out how to get it wired up. We put on my new brake shoes, drums and hardware today. I have a new bumper and grille to put on I just have to paint them on monday. Sunday I am pulling my pinstripes and sometime I will try and figure out time to look in to the cargo lights. Lots of work to be done and very little time to do it.

I am of no helps my LED lightbar is just red which is fine with me and works for me!

Those lights are not bright enough to be useful in reverse. They are only suitable for cargo lights anyway so you're better off just leaving them as is.

Yeah the more I have looked at them and played with them. I noticed that thanks man, appreciate it. I will be glad when I get my new valance and grille on tomorrow. We painted them today. Looks awesome.
