I know there's a lot of posts on here that say that two CB antennas on a Ranger end up interfering with each other or not helping because they aren't far enough apart but what if you had two different sized ones like a 3' or 4' antenna and then a 102" whip and you mounted them on opposite sides of the bed? Would that help range at all or would it still just not do anything?

Why do people want 2 when they know it won't get you out any better than one and maybe not even as far. The best place for a 1/4 wave ground plane is on the back bumper. That way the vehicle serves as the ground plane and the TX pattern goes out further to the front than anywhere else. Don't believe me? check some patterns online.
