Default '99 Ranger Facelift, Tires, and Suspension ?'s

Hey all I'm new here from the FTE forum. I am a soldier returning home from Iraq here soon and I want to fix up the ranger I drove throughout my high school years. It needs a paint job, tires, and maybe a lift of how many inches? I am just wondering what you guys think is possible for this truck?

I would do a single color paint job (possibly single stage) a body lift and 32 or 33s for tires. Nothing too extreme.

Ok, its got four different colors(i put the thing on its side a long while ago, i got j/y doors and fender for it. I was told I can just have the three parts painted to look the same age as the current factory paint job. Good idea/Bad idea?

you could do it, but personally I would repaint the whole truck. Go single stage paint though, its cheaper and looks just as good...thats what I have on my truck

How much woudl that cost for a total repaint vs the two doors and fender?

Well...I had my truck painted for free and the parts paint, primer, sandpaper etc...was less than $300. I would say anywhere's from $500 to $1000 if you do the body work, sanding, etc. Have the painter prime it, sand the primer, and paint it.

You could also do a front fascia conversion. Give it the look of either the 01~04 or the 05~present rangers. I did the conversion on my insurances dime, made the truck look totally different.
Before:

After:

The bare metal spot on the bumper are where my old off road lights used to mount.

Like I said, HUGE difference and usually for the positive. I'm not a big fan of chrome, so the giant chrome bumper on the factory 2k front end wasnt stirring my cup of tea. Fortunately, front end swaps can be fairly cheap if you do enough yard crawling.
