Default Running board question

I have a 2001 4 door ranger and am looking at a pair of running boards. They are for a 4 door but the "fit years" says 2002-2005. I thought the fit was either a 2 door or 4 door fit?

Will these fit or do they really go by years and have different mounting places?

Thanks.

Mike

Forgot to mention they are oem running boards, not aftermarket.

I have 2 sets of oem running boards and they are the same. One set is off my 01 and the other off my 03 so i dont see why they wouldnt fit.

Are they easy to mount, or do they require an inshop job?

Won't take any time at all to put them on... now taking them off on an 8 year old truck... not an easy task.
