Running 55w on the mini H1 is where people had issues. Theres plenty of people running the 5five = 50w Morimoto ballast with no problems. Also the aftermarket bulbs run a little hotter then oem. I switched to the 5k cbi bulbs and they put out alot more light then the Morimoto 3Five D2S bulbs at the same wattage.

Nice! I'm glad others here are realizing a quality bulb when they see one!

I know they are pricey and therefore not for everyone, but I love my Osram CBI's as well! I know 1st hand why they are considered one of the best HID lamps available.

Is it me or does this aluminum box not look like it's weather proof at all..? I was looking at the box and it's just screwed together with screws, i didn't see any type of sealant or anything like that.

Did your harness have two seperate ground points. One for each ballast? I just looked at mine and each ballast has a - battery ring terminal but it looks like I have to ground it to the chasis of the truck since the passenger side will not reach the battery terminal...lol

Yep I ended up with the orange control box and had to swap the white and blue wires in the connector.

As for the ground I just cut and spliced the wire and ran it right to the battery.
