Well i picked up some adhesive spray and some self adhesive primer
plus I'm gona sand the chrome down with 60 grit.

You can scuff the chrome then prime it for paint or bed cover etc, it may be easier

No not a god dude lol. As long as you scuff any surface enough, roll on or spray on liners will stick to it, they just need that good scuff for the liners to adhere to it. The steel bumper I did was ground to all steel, primed, then painted all done with rattle cans. Then I scuffed the paint, (they sell scuff pads in Napa and places like that) then I cleaned it with Xylene and once it was dry I applied a roll on bed liner. I actually sold it to member Rangerman88 on here and he loves it. I also wrote a "How to" in the exterior section
