Default Installed a Inverter Pics inside

Will add more pics soon, and will do a complete writeup. enjoy

Inverter installed behind the passenger jump seat, jack mount was removed, power cord plugged in and hole drilled and ran towards the passenger rear bed. Positive and negative wire ran to the battery and than a separate ground ran to the body. I also installed a 150amp circuit breaker.

BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME!

I've actually needed 1600Watts of inverter power on the side of the road ONCE.
Had a wheel bearing/hub assembly seize and had to remove/change on road (had spare with me, was going home to change it, didn't make it).
Bolt head stripped. Used an angle grinder running on a 800/1600 inverter and groudn the head off the bolt and fixed it.

On any kind of recovery vehicle you can never have enough power, ever. I'm trying to find a way to build a generator essentially off my alternator to produce straight 120V off the alternator to an outlet when needed

Thanks and you should STL, Just be sure to replace the inlet that you see in the pic with a GFI, since it is exposed to outside weather, that;s of course unless you have a tone cover. I will do writeup soon as I also bought a inverter from Sam's Club and opened it up, took out the two plugs a mounted them in my center console, that way I have access to both end. computers/ipods/camera recharge and browse inside when weather does not permit me otherwise.

I love this mod! I was wanting to do something like this for a small air compressor. Good job!

Also check your local truck stops like Pilot, Love's, T/A, Flying J. The sell inverters from 100 watts to 4000 watts.
I bought a power drive 300 watt for my laptop for $40 at a pilot.
