Default Side view mirrors

Hey there -

I have a 92 for ranger ext cab - and want to add the full size side view mirrors (chrome style with large angle bracket). I have run into a problem that although the original holes are ok, the bracket inside the door that the original screws threaded into is bolted from the outside - leaving a bolt sized gap. Anyone done one of these replacements? Any alternative to pulling open the door and removing the original bracket?

Thanks
dave

Default Thanks solved

Thanks, got this one solved. I will include pics in the future...need to learn to use the site. I figured out that I could install the screw with the new light into one side of the bracket, then remove the center nut, and the bracket would stay in place, solving my original problem.

thanks
dave

Those were the best mirrors. Between the big ass mirror and the giant convex mirrors I had attached to the brackets, I could see sooooo much better than I can now with the stylish newer mirrors.
