hey guys, i recently just put on a grille guard and i will shortly be recieving my roll bar.

So this is what im thinking: i want to put 2 lights on the grille guard and 4 on the roll bar. i want to make the two on the grille guard everyday driving lights and the other four long range off road lights. what type of lights and brands should i put on at both spots? remember i want the two on the grille guard to be everyday lights. thx for help

PIAA make good lights, along with Hella. go to there website's and check out the different lights they offer. they have a lot to choose from

ok thx now my question is, if i put the driving lights on the grille guard, will it still b ok to have them on as an evryday lighter? and i would use the long range for off roading at night

im looking at kc lights: 634 - Daylighter: Drvg Blk 130w and then 4 SlimLite: 130w Black Long Range #121 for the roll bar, but do you think that the slimlights will hold up sturdy enough if im doin 70- 80 on the high way?

yeah, use a DAYLIGHTER as an "everyday" driving light and get every driver pissed at you and a plethora of tickets.

For long range off-road lights, make sure you get a "spot" pattern

the driving lights are that bright? isnt the point of them to b "driving lights"?

It may be unlawful to have those axillary lights on while driving - it is here.

Exactly my point - check the law.
The amount of light is not the issue, the fact that they are on is the issue (here).
Fog lights should be mounted low so the light will pass under the fog and light the road. If it is foggy, why would you want the light reflected back into your eyes? If there is no fog, there is no need for fog lights.
Driving lights come mounted on the truck from the factory - did you notice them? You can turn them on with a switch inside the cab.

Some people think they look cool by having extra lights on - Does a 220 pound chick look cool in spandex? No! But she thinks she does. It is a horrific offense to some of us - just the same as your proposed lights.

What I would do is get a set of daylighter driving lights for the bumper and 4 spot long range dayliters for the roll bar. but I would wire up the driving lights to come on with your high beams when the switch is active and then just have the roll bar lights on a separate switch as well. make sure to relay and fuse everything properly.

i dont really see how a couple of lights r offensive? they wouldnt b on on public roads.
But anyways, i found out it is illegal in RI to have more then 4 lights on, on public roads anyways and my truck comes stock with four(including fogs) so im just gunna put 4 lights ontop, im thinking two long range spots and mayb 2 fogs

I have to pilot 5 1/2s 55watts on the brush guard for my driving lights so i dont get a ticket, 4 130 watt autopals on the roll bar, they autopals do spot at all, they come close to reaching 500 yards no lie, i gave $65 for 4 of them off ebay, they just didnt come with the wiring kit, they have ben great lights and ive done 95mph with them no prob what so ever. i recomend them if you are tight on money. i have no problems

K lol I guess my truck gunna look a bit lik urs ha, wit rol bar and grile guard and all bur il look into that, sounds lik a good deal. Cant put the light on grille guard as evryday lights tho, to many(illegal)
