Hi all,

I bought my 2008 Ranger last August off a used lot. It came with a small strip of surface rust on the tailgate. You can see it on the attached photos.

I was wondering if anyone can give me pointers or even a How-to on fixing this without going to a body shop to get it done. I'm am a bit new to this so any help will be appreciated.

Mods so far - tinted windows, K&N drop-in, removed side-steps

I just did this to my tailgate... Lol Its there because someone had a topper on it and it rubbed and cause the rust you you now have.. Just sand it off reall good. And clean it with a wax and grease remover and paint it. Make sure all the rust is off though...
