Post Cheap storage box for bed? Thoughts please!

Hey guys, i've been looking to get a tool box for my truck but i honestly don't want a diamond plated one and i don't need anything big. I just need some extra space for my tools, first aid, and emergency stuff. I found this thing at Lowe's and i just was wondering your guys' thoughts on it:

The only thing i'm a little worried about is securing it to my bed somehow... Haven't quite figured that out. Haha. Thanks guys!

I didn't need anything big either.
These are holding
a portable tire inflater
puncture kit
extra winter layers
and there is still room for more.

the small part is cordoned off and a sliding tray keeps small stuff separate.

The lid locks and the whole box swings and is lockable to the bed yet easily removable. Although I've had a big old stove back there since I've had em in and nothing got in the way.

Took em through a touchless car wash with the power spray and the inside stays completely dry.

But if you want cheap, that box looks good. Just gotta see how weather proof it is since it doesn't say. And it might help if you grabbed a couple small item organizers to keep certain things accessible.

Ok cool. Yeah i haven't even gone to look at one personally yet but i plan to tomorrow. I've always liked the wheelwell ones but the only downside, for me at least, is that if i get those, i wouldn't be able to put my quad in the back at all. The bed i believe is 50 inches and my bike is about 49... Haha. And i'd definitely want all my junk if i went to the desert. But what the hell i could look into them anyway. How much did they run you?

Do you have that crappy plastic bed insert too? Haha. I hate mine. I wanna get a roll in liner asap.. I'm thinking i may try to drill a hole through it to secure it to the liner or something... not too sure about that though.

The front is latched and the rear is on an open ended barrel hinge so they can be removed easily.

They run about 175 a copy.
Also worth mentioning is that I did have to modify the latch bracket to the body. So if you just wanna quick clutter buster, I'd go with the box.

Me I love these things. They're nice and low profile. I can still get a tonneau cover if I choose.

I have one of those Tuff Boxxes, the bigger one with the key lock.
I used it in my old Nissan Hardbody for several years, it worked
well and stayed dry. I used it as a truck box and a job box, it's now a storage bin in my garage. It should work well for you.
