Default aux. reverse lights

does anyone have auxiliary reverse lights on the back of their ranger? (pics?? )
I'm thinking of getting some mounted on the hitch, or under the bumper to provide extra light when off roading, setting up camp, or just more light for reversing at night.
looking for ideas of how to mount them, don't want anything too high profile, or something that will get ripped off when wheeling.

Had these on mine for a long time. Got them at harbor freight 10 bucks

Attached to the bumper. Using existing holes.

On top of my cap I have two backup lights and two work lights. I go fishing alot until dark and they are great when were packing up at the end of the night, I also have lights inside the cap.

This summer I'm taking the cap off so I'm mounting backup lights from walmart similar to buggman's under the bumper. I'm also mounting lights up underneath the teauno cover.

Definitely do it though they make a world of difference in my opinion. I think all trucks should come stock with them. Like STL said theres already holes there under the bumper so its real easy.

I've got a set of KC's Backup Lights on mine. Very low-profile, mounted in existing holes, tapped into backup light circuit.

You shouldn't be powering aux reverse lights with the reverse light circuit. That circuit is designed to handle two 20 watt bulbs for short periods of time. Use that circuit to run a relay that gets primary power from under the hood.

Having switch is nicer, I think, its not hard to reach down and flip it when you need to back up plus that way you can have the lights on whenever you want; not just when you're in reverse.

sweet! thanks guys, yeah, I was thinking about using the holes that are under the bumper, it's as if Ford meant to put them there, but didn't I do like the idea of just having them run to a switch, though, so I can use them for loading/unloading and other stuff, other than backing up.

I think I saw these somewhere. I Think they were marketed as backup lights but were essentially the same as the stock lights in terms of brightness so I think they are pretty pointless.

Your best bet is to just get real auxiliary lights and have them with their own fuse and switch. Its not that hard to rig up and would be much better.

Should have mentioned that the KC kit has a relay. Relay is triggered by the reverse circuit.
