Default Por-15 ?

So heres the deal. I have some rust starting at the bottom of my passenger door on the in the inside and the paint is bubbling a little. My plan was to wirebrush it the best i can, not necesarily down to the bare metal but definetly clean it up well, and the coat it with gray or silver por15. Any advice for this project ? Is por15 worth the extra money over tremclad etc ? Should i use the por 15 branded prep and marine clean formulas or is that overkill ?

POR 15 is AMAZING!!! I have a can for my frame, and the paint and body instructor that was at my college couldn't shut up about it. He used it on his Corvette, truck, and Camaro, it works trust me. It's worth the overkill to get rid of rust

Regardless if you wire brush it a little or you go to bare metal, you need to use some sort of cleaner so the POR-15 can adhere to what you're painting. I think Xylol will work, but don't quote me on that.

You can actualy just knock off the big stuff, and then paint the POR over it.
