Photo guide to replace FRONT BUMPER on 2000 XLT?

In search of a guide (w/photos) to replace the front bumper on my 2000 XLT. I've read many threads on FRF that say it's fairly easy, but since I'm a novice, I'd really like to see some pics of the process. My current bumper is rusting through, although the valance/fogs are in decent shape. Can someone direct me to a thread on FRF or the web that shows a step-by-step replacing the bumper on a 2000 w/ valance?

One other thing... been looking for a replacement bumper and the ones online show two rows of holes on the bumper... I assume the lower holes are for the valance... what about the upper ones?? My current bumper doesn't have these and is smooth.

i dont have pictures but basically if you look at the frame rail there is a plate on the end of it, there is one bolt coming from the bumper to the frame on each side. one inside the frame railo one outside. 4 nuts to take off total. super easy.

Thanks for the quick reply! What about the valance? How does it come off, and what about disconnecting the fogs?

follow the wires coming from the fog lights, there will be plugs on them. disconnect them.

for the valance, it is removed at the same time as the rest of the bumper, once you remove the bolts like ben10 said. after that, you can unbolt the valance from the metal piece a lot easier off the truck.

this could have all been figured out by looking at the truck. novice or not, one of the best ways to learn is trial and error. it's a truck assembled on an assembly line, not by nasa.
