You can use a special primer from Zinsser to cover chrome up
First sand as much of the cracking or peeling .
Then prime with Zinsser.
Sand and paint! You'er done!

Check out partsgeek.com, they have primed grilles for around $20 bux, that way if u dont like it u can put the chrome one back on..

Bought the primed grille from partsgeek.com for $18.94 plus shipping. Thanks for the suggestion. This way if I don't like it I haven't wasted all the time on the chrome or ruined it and I can repaint it. I'll throw pics up when I get it done. Thanks again.
