I've seen good paint from them before, but someone one told me they use a chem in their prep and only their paint sticks after that unless you strip and re-prime. They might have been full of it, but it sounds legit as most of the cost in paint is prep or lack there of.

I have seen a few and you get what you pay for,if you get the cheap paint job its just that, cheap. There more expensive work is comparable to any other shop at the same price.try the cheap job, take off as much trim as you can so the prep is easier, even pull some glass if you can and then look after it.Lots of wax.If you are good at looking after your paint it will last a few years but you can't neglect it is all.Their biggest problems with the cheaper jobs is they seem to do way less prep and masking so it can look shitty around the edges,if you minimise the work load and talk to them first to see where you can help it will be just fine.

Do not do your paint job at Maaco, the paint will in fact chip/flake and fall off, It will be thin in certain areas and have dust specks all over it, The upside is that sometimes you really get a good body/paint guy who loves to do his work. The downside is that these are the guys that don't stick around long. Not because they choose to leave, but rather Maaco get's rid of them.

Why would you want your vehicle to rushed, Tha's what these type of places do. (ask me how I know) let's just say many many years ago

You are better off learning the trade yourself, A decent paint job from a autoboy/paint shop will cost minimally $5000, unless you do your own bodywork and primer to smooth things out, There paint may than have a 2 bit chance.

Good lUCK WITH WHATEVER YOU DECIDE, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION AND MINE ALONE.

Than why don't you make the trip and come see me, I will paint it for you for no cost, you buy material which is around $3-400, I have everything else, and you will get a paint job valued at $5000 and up. You are not that far away, or just Line'ed the entire (summabitch); seriously talk to me little brother.

i have heard good things, and seen to pretty damn good paint jobs from their, but could be different in different places. when you have it done you can have them do whatever you want. knew a guy who had his 79 ford painted, they had like 8 coats of clear put on so they could wet sand in.

i wouldnt think its a bad idea. if its bad and u are persistent and b***h about it enough, they'll fix it. let their customer service have it! lol

I think the big thing is if its a certified macco or not. The one here is certified. I plan on having them paint the 98 this summer just to get it all in one color. I'll get a better paint job later one after I am working and have a garage/shop. I'll use the 98 to learn to paint myself.

MAACO is only slightly better than Earl Scheib.

It's been years since I've looked into it, but back then I came to the opinion that maaco is a mediocre job that will probably start giving you problems in a few years.

I remember them! I stopped in one time to check out what they did for $99 and the guy said they just spray it. No prep work at all.

I would take Bru's offer.
