I would think that there the kind of paint you throw on the sell your car. Just like cheap ass brake pads! I have seen that offer for $99 paint job, you always get what you pay for. I would expect an automatic car wash, tapped glass and sprayed. CHEAP! But, if its just for your prerunner and all you really need is color, then Id conisder doing that.

Having painted for a living in the past, this is a hell of an offer.

I know someone that worked at one and he said that no matter what paint package you got, all they really did was scuff up the surface and throw some paint on it

if you dont mind all your trim, windows, wipers, wheels, wheel wells and everything else covered in paint and overspray go for it. a good paint job is 90% prep and 10% paint and they dont do any prep work. id def take Bru up on his offer

Well I have to agree dude your nut's if you dont take the offer of buying materials and getting a good paint job and not the 2-bit maaco paint job. Its basically all good if u got good materials and a good tape/prep job and it shows in the end.

I have been painting 18yrs, take Bru's offer...

the pro's n con's of Maaco

+ it's a cheap paint job

- its a single stage paint job, they don't sand properly or don't sand at all in some cases, they don't use adhesion agents, the tape jobs suck (tapelines around mirrors, windshield, back glass n so will be prone to peel, and over spray every where) single stage paint will discolor if buffed, so if you end up with trash and runs you have to live with it..
if you are dis-satisfied with the over all paint job down the road, and peeling accures from poor preparation, then the truck has to be striped eventually costing more money in the long run..

point, save your money and do it right the first time

Here is the result of a maaco paint job!
It was fantastic for about 2 months.
And yes they do a chemical sanding agent
They didnt remove the emblems to shoot the fenders, just tape around them.

Before you go their, wait until I'm online to make that statement, But heh if you say so, if you have followed any of my threads, you would know that molding is all I have been doing to my ranger and that means the offer I gave you stood.
