Default Snow Plow Question

Hey, I came across a good deal on a used snowplow that came off a chevy s-10 and was wondering if it would fit my ranger, I don't know much about snow plows. Would this setup work? http://maine.craigslist.org/for/2252262397.html

O.K., thanks Jason. I have all summer to search for one that will fit. This guy wants like $450.00 for this setup. I should be able to find a better deal on something that will bolt on before then. Thanks for the reply.

I doubt it. 450 is pretty cheap, even though it is a pieced together plow and will not bolt on your truck. I paid 550 for mine and i had to put a NEW mullboard, lights , harness, fix cracks and worn bushings, and Modify the plow to fit my ranger. I currently have $1600 in my plow,

FYI you need a plow from a 98-current ranger to bolt on your truck

Check with the manufacture to see if they offer (still offer) the plow mount for your truck, then just buy the guys setup.

X2 on a cheap plow, I would offer the guy $400, take it and run. Even if you had to pay a shop $1,000 to fab a mount, it'd still be worth it.

It is a Fisher /western set up. And it is a head mount. Fisher has not offered one of those in 15+ years

Thanks all for the input, I have zero experience with plows. My friend has a welder so maybe I will jump on this deal. Thanks again!
